Ash Barty welcomed her second child with husband Garry Kissick on June 16, a new addition to their family of three.
“Welcome to the world, Jordan 💕 You are loved unconditionally and we are so grateful to have you in our arms, gorgeous girl,” the 29-year-old wrote.
The Aussie tennis champion, who already has a three-year-old son Hayden, told The Herald Sun that she was gearing up to deal with “chaos” as the household expands to life with both a toddler and newborn.
“It’s been probably the best part of my life, being able to share this next chapter with my husband Garry, and we have no idea what we’re doing but he’s alive and he’s happy,” she explained, before admitting she was “terrified for what is going to come next but we’ll figure it out, I’m sure.”
“As an athlete, I used to be the most meticulous, organised person and now it’s absolute carnage,” Ash added of the “chaos” she was expecting.
The couple’s news of their pregnancy came just over one year after Ash and Gary shared they had welcomed their first child, Hayden.
“Merry Christmas from our growing family to yours,” the post read, with a picture of her son Hayden wearing a shirt that read ‘I’m going to be a big brother’.
Ash and Garry welcomed Hayden on July 3, 2023.

Reflecting on her early experience of motherhood with Hayden, Ash told Sunrise in February 2024, “It’s everything that I’ve ever wanted to do. I think the challenges that you have each and every day are different but the rewards and the fun so outweigh it. It’s much better than anything else I’ve ever done.”
“When [Hayden] wakes up from a sleep or a nap, the smile as soon as he wakes up – and starting to grab and want to be held, that’s incredible. That’s the best thing ever.”

The 29-year-old had also opened up about motherhood to Body and Soul, sharing that “Motherhood is different to anything I’ve ever experienced.”
“I was very lucky to be able to watch my sisters raise their two kids, so I think I was always sensitive to how hard but also how rewarding it is. But it’s a completely different ball game when it’s your own child. It’s relentless – it’s 24/7 – but it’s so rewarding and, honestly, it’s the best thing that I’ve ever done. I think it’s incomparable to being an athlete.”
