The new gig is the first for Bec since she left Home and Away to support her tennis superstar husband Lleyton Hewitt and be a mum to the couple's three kids, Mia 12, Cruz, 9, and Ava, 7.
The 35-year-old said it was the now was the time to go after her career dreams again.
“I think it’s the right time and the right job just to fit in with my other job of being a mum,” she told News Corp.
As well as Bec hosting and reporting for the travel series, other familiar faces will include Sonia Kruger, Ray Martin, Lauren Phillips and Steve Jacobs.
Hello World will air 4.30pm, Sunday, from October 7 on Nine.
