The Black Eyed Peas are back with a new spin on an old classic.
The group released an updated version of their 2003 breakout song "Where Is the Love" late Wednesday night. Called "#WHEREISTHELOVE" ft. The World, the song features additional vocals from Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla $ign, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Cassie, Andra Day, The Game, Tori Kelly, V. The Black Eyed Peas, made up of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie, said in a statement: "… if you only have love for your own race/ Then you only leave space to discriminate/ And to discriminate only generates hate" – and encourage us to keep asking: '#WHERESTHELOVE'?"
The video for the song, also released late Wednesday night, shows appearances from family members affected by gun violence (Alton Sterling's aunt Sandra, Pilando Castile's mother Valerie), police officials (Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown, Officer Miguel Salcedo, and more), and many celebrities including Lance Bass, Vanessa Hudgens, Rosario Dawson, Kendall Jenner, Shailene Woodley, Taye Diggs, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Quincy Jones, Snoop Dogg, Olivia Munn, and LL Cool J.
