Needless to say, Elsa's fans and followers were quick to compliment her on her beauty transformation.
"Love the brunette look," one stated.
"The dark hair is stunning!" exclaimed another.
"You are super gorgeous as brunette as well as blonde.... but changes are welcome!" a third remarked.
This isn't Elsa's first foray into going brunette.
Back in the noughties when she was dating American actor Adrien Brody, the actress rocked much darker looks and looks almost unrecognisable to the boho chic star we know today.
Elsa and Adrien dated from 2006 until 2009 and in 2007, Adrien bought a 19th-century castle worth almost a million dollars in upstate New York for his then-girlfriend.
"When I saw the castle, I asked Adrien, 'Is this ours?' she told HELLO! at the time. "He said, "Yes – welcome home."
Elsa then met Chris Hemsworth in September 2010 and just three months later, the two were married.
Speaking to WHO in 2019, Elsa revealed that she and her Hollywood star husband don't have a special secret and that like any married couple, they have their ups and downs.
“Nothing is as easy and perfect as it looks,” she said.
“We have those moments where we shout at the kids and then we feel like horrible parents and we have to work at being a couple like everyone else.
“There are those moments where you fight, and I think you have to put a lot of effort into [your marriage]. As much effort as
you put into your work, you have to put into your marriage and into being a dad and amum. And it’s constant work.”
