Emily in Paris Season 4 Cast
Although the official casting details are yet to be announced, it is highly probable that Emily (played by Collins) and her group of Parisian friends and frenemies will return for the upcoming season. This includes Ashley Park as Mindy, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Camille Razat as Cami, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Bruno Gouery as Luc, Samuel Arnold as Julien, and the Season two addition Lucien Laviscount as Alfie. However, the status of Kate Walsh's involvement remains uncertain, as Emily officially severed ties with her former American boss in Season 3.
Emily in Paris Season 4 Plot
Warning! The following information contains major season 3 spoilers. The third season of the show concluded with a gripping cliffhanger, which saw a rejection at the alter, a pregnancy reveal and a surprise wedding.
In the dramatic episode, Camille called off her wedding to Gabriel at the alter, announcing: “You and Emily have been in love with each other since the moment you met.… I’m sorry. I really am, but I can’t marry you. And it’s time we all just stop pretending.”
Emily and her boyfriend Alfie were in attendance for the chaotic almost-wedding, and Alfie, who had already shown some jealousy toward Gabriel decided that he shouldn't be with Emily. “Sorry, but I’m nobody’s second choice, Cooper,” he says. “Now, go get your man.” When she points out that he is her man, Alfie replies, “No, I’m not. And I don’t think I ever really was.”
Gabriel then reveals to Emily that he was getting married because Camille is pregnant. Emily also admits that she has always had feelings for him but stayed away thanks to a pact she and Camille had previously made.
The End.
Seriously, season three ended with a lot of questions, which is why we need season four ASAP. Thanks to the season three finale set-up, it's likely that season four will answer questions about Camille's pregnancy, Emily and Gabriel's relationship, and where Sofia and Alfie stand in the love-square situation.
TV Guide spoke with Emily in Paris creator Darren Star last year about what season four would entail, and he had a few small hints.
"I don't know that Gabriel is in the best place to start a relationship with Emily," Star said. "I am not sure that Emily wants a relationship with Gabriel under the circumstances."
"Season 4 is going to be more about navigating complicated relationships: personal relationships and work relationships, and how they come into conflict with each other," he continued. "Emily is still going to be working with Alfie, Gabriel, and Camille. Those work relationships are really fraught with emotional conflicts."
Emily in Paris Season 4 Premiere Date
Thanks to the recent delays in production, don't expect to see the new season any time soon.
The third season made its debut on December 21, 2022, following the previous season's release almost exactly a year earlier. As is customary for Netflix, all episodes were made available for streaming at once. While it would have been logical for Season 4 to premiere in December 2023, delays indicate that fans may have to exercise patience until at least early 2024 to uncover the future events awaiting Emily.
