Abbie Chatfield has hit back at anti-vaxxer trolls who claimed she shouldn’t encourage people to get the COVID-19 vaccine because she exercised her right to have an abortion.

In 2019, the 26-year-old bravely opened up about terminating a pregnancy in the lead up to her stint on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.
On Sunday, Abbie called out anti-vaxxers who equated being pro-choice when it comes to abortions to the freedom of being able to say no to the jab.
“Just a reminder to anti-vaxxers in my comments/DMs bringing up my abortion because you seem to not be able to use your brains today,” she said on her Instagram Stories.
Abbie has been vocal about her support of COVID-19 vaccines Pfizer and AstraZeneca, and recently got jabbed herself.
“Stop hijacking pro-abortion rhetoric so that you feel you’re on the progressive side of this,” she continued.
“Me getting an abortion affects no one except for me and the sperm donor. If you don’t get vaxxed you give the virus a chance to mutate AGAIN.
“I can almost guarantee you’ve never cared about being pro-choice til now. Were you at the women’s marches bestie?”
The reality star said the longer the “demon” that is COVID-19 is free in the community the more chances it has to “outrun” vaccines.
Abbie opened up on the Shameless podcast in 2019, saying she found it difficult to speak to Matt about having children after her termination.
“I think at that time I felt very guilty for saying I wanted kids because I aborted one,” Abbie told hosts Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald at the time.
“(It was) bringing it up with Matt, being embarrassed, being ashamed, being scared that he would think of me differently, as well as being so exhausted of having to explain why I hadn’t said whether I wanted kids to these girls,” she shared.
“I whispered it to him and his producer didn’t hear me and said ‘Abbie you’re going to have to say it out loud’. And then I turned around and looked dead in the camera and said ‘I had a f***ing abortion last year’.”
Abbie confessed that after she told Matt about her abortion she lay crying in her bed, adding that at the time of having the procedure, her boyfriend told her she “wasn’t fun anymore” with the experience leading to her developing a “deep depression”.
“(He) was literally the worst. He went out the night I had my abortion because he wanted to be the boys and have a few drinks even though I was holding onto his shirt saying please don’t leave me,” she said.
