Former star of Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelorette, Alex McKay, has announced the birth of his daughter along with his partner, Michelle Nicholas.

The happy couple took to Instagram on Sunday night to share the arrival of their newborn, Della Mac McKay, who was born at home.
“Della Mac McKay 💖 Born 26/11/21 6:49am,” he shared.
“A lengthy labour over 2 sleepless nights with no pain killers or interference just trusting her body and baby managed to stay mentally and physically strong enough to give birth in our own home” he explained.
“The most inspiring/resilient thing I will ever see in my life! I will be in a lifetime of debt to you Mich. You are already showing how empowering woman can be with their bodies to our baby girl, love you to the moon!”
He continued to give some insight into the newborn’s name.
“Della’s middle name Mac is named after Dad, who’s legacy will forever live on through me and now Della ❤️ we miss you dad!”
“Let life begin!” he finished.
Fellow Bachie stars shared their love and support in the comments.
“Omg beautiful!!!” wrote Alisha Aitken-Radburn, who starred on season three of Bachelor in Paradise with Alex.
“Congratulations!” wrote fellow season three co-stars Brittney Weldon and Jessica Brody.
“Congratulations!!!! What a head of hair. Nearly as long as yours. So happy for your both,” shared Jackson Garlick.
“So so happy for you both, bro! This is so wonderful ❤️,” shared Carlin Sterritt, who won Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette that Alex first appeared on.
Prior to appearing on Bachelor in Paradise in 2020, Alex came fifth on Angie’s Bachelorette season, and apparently has a commemorative tattoo among his inked-up arm.
“It’s a picture of Angie holding a rose, and yeah, her hand is bleeding, because I didn’t get the final rose,” he said on a promotional video for Bachelor in Paradise.
While Alex failed to capture Angie’s heart, he also struggled on BIP, where he was forced to leave when franchise regular, Keira Maguire, rejected his rose and walked off the season.
However, he seems very happy with partner Michelle, who first appeared on his Instagram in November last year.
“Waited patiently for a long time for you and for this feeling! Very grateful!” he captioned a carousel of images of the pair.
