While many fans revealed they were excited about her venture and all the perks that’ll come with it, her announcement was also met with a lot of backlashes. In fact, internet trolls took the news as an opportunity to berate the former Bachelor star and her parenting skills.
“How the hell is she a good mentor for young teens? I won’t be watching she’s a tv reality try hard! We’ve seen enough of you Alex thanks but no thanks,” one social media user wrote.
Another added: “I sincerely wish you well and all the very best Alex but at the same time there is such a thing as ‘enough already’ move on Alex get a real life. Be a mother. I don’t think anyone of these people are good role models or have good life morals and values. 🤔 Maybe I should watch and tell my kids this is NOT how you should behave and that you should have more self respect? Good luck with your next venture Alex I hope it all works out for you 👍 I won’t be watching to find out.”
Instead of stooping to their level, Alex took the higher ground by wishing the trolls nothing but “wonderful things”.
Teen Mom Australia is set to follow Ammersen Chambers, Akosita Masima and Georgina Manios. The 10- part series will document the highs and lows of motherhood as the trio manage a life full of nappies, tears and tantrums, combined with strained relationships, drama and the complexities of being a teenager.
Teen Mom Australia will premiere this winter exclusively on MTV on Foxtel, Foxtel Now and Fetch
