Timm Hanly, Ciarran Stott, Jamie Doran, Niranga Amarasinghe, Glenn Smith, Alex McKay, Jackson Garlick, Matt Whyatt and Scot Fuller are all starring on this season of Bachelor in Paradise and all nine starred mere months ago on Angie’s season of The Bachelorette.

The former Bachelorette doesn’t follow any of her former reality TV beaus on Instagram apart from one – rescue dog advocate Ryan Anderson who made it to third place.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Angie shared a video of herself sipping a glass of wine and remarked on the situation in her caption.

“Me sitting here knowing that 98% of the fellas from my season were casted and only there to get onto BiP. This season should have been renamed ‘98% from Angie’s Season of Bachelorette, in Paradise’… Love that for me,” she wrote.

“Oh well. I certainly gave it my all and learnt some swell little lessons about myself / dating / ‘excellent pretend daters’ / ‘bro code’ / ‘manipulators’ and most importantly LOVE… even if it wasn’t my forever love! Still conquered my fear and surrendered to the scary L letter word.”

Earlier this month, Angie and her Bachelorette winner Carlin Sterritt ended their relationship but admitted to House of Wellness that it was an emotional ordeal.

“I was hiding in bed a lot for the first couple of weeks dealing with all the feels and the constant speculation for over a month that Carlin and I had broken up when in fact we had not. We were taking time to navigate what was going on,” Angie told the publication.

“I was hassled by paps outside my house, (there were) constant calls from media and untrue articles being written about us when all we were doing was taking time out and trying to gain some clarity.

“After all that it led to us eventually breaking up; the fear of heartbreak and a public one was quite tough.”

Despite the heartbreak, Angie admits she has no regrets about doing the show.

“The universe would not have sent me this adventure if the universe didn’t think I could handle it, and grow and learn something really magical about myself and others,” she said.

“Plus, I got to fall in love for the first time. I have loved and lost this time, but I would rather that than still being scared to not love at all. For that I will be forever grateful.”

Carlin has spoken out about the split as well, admitting that he has had to confront his anxiety in the wake of it.

“Having gone through a break up, it definitely takes a toll on you. You try and suppress those feelings and try and distract yourself but you do need to feel it. You do need to heal and just be real with yourself and your emotions.”
