Angie Kent is a particularly loveable TV personality. She had us cackling through the first few seasons of Gogglebox Australia beside her best friend Yvie Jones, and with every TV endeavour since we’ve learned just how relatable she is.
When Kent served as our 2019 Bachelorette, her brutal honesty and no-bull attitude towards some of the questionable men on her season had us cheering, and of course, we were thrilled to see her find love at the end.
While fans quickly embraced her final decision on the show, her romance with contestant Carlin Sterritt sadly did not last outside of the show, with the former couple announcing their split in July 2020.
Following the couple’s break up, Kent has kept her love life largely out of the spotlight – leaving many fans curious as to whether the reality star has finally found ‘The One.’
Is Angie Kent in a relationship?
While she has not commented on her current relationship status, Kent was most recently linked to AFLW star Jess Trend.
Rumours of the pair’s romance first began to surface in early 2023 after Kent and Trend were spotted partying together at Sydney’s Mardi Gras Parade.
Although she did not name Trend specifically, Kent did confirm on her Two Girls One Pod podcast that she was in a relationship with a woman named Jess.
Opening up on her relationship, the Gogglebox star told Nova’s Confidential, “We are not exclusive, we have been dating since probably November. We’ve been getting to know each other and it has been fab. We have spent a lot of time together across states but no, I am a single gal for now.”
Prior to their Mardi Gras sighting, Kent shared on her Two Girls One Pod podcast that her most recent relationship was her first same-sex partnership.
“I have met this beautiful… she’s a girl, so she’s a lesbian, a woman. In the past, I have dated non-binary, but this is the first time I have been with someone who identifies as a woman,” she shared.
“I didn’t know how I would go with it, because I’m very attracted to masculine energy, but the more I date a woman, the I’m like I’m not that attracted to masculine energy, I just thought I was. I really love feminine energy.”

Carlin Sterritt
Before her most recent relationship, Kent’s last public romance was with her Bachelorette winner, Carlin Sterritt.
From the beginning of their time on The Bachelorette in 2019, Sterritt was a clear frontrunner, with the fitness trainer securing the first rose and date of the competition.
The pair faced a few challenges throughout their time on the show, including a rumour that Sterritt had only joined the show to kickstart his acting career. The couple also faced added pressure from fans, who campaigned for Kent to give her final rose to loveable larrikin, Timm Hanly.
A year on from filming, rumours began to circulate that the couple had parted ways, and in July 2020, Kent and Sterritt confirmed they had separated.
“There’s been a lot of speculation and rumours about the status of my relationship with Carlin,” Kent wrote to her Instagram story, adding, “Matters of the heart are extremely difficult and I’m sad to say that Carlin and I have broken up. I wish him nothing but the best in the future.”
A few weeks after the couple confirmed the news, Kent slowly began to speak out about the nature of their breakup, telling Sydney Confidential, “Chemistry doesn’t always equal compatibility. We gave it our all and it didn’t work out.”
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show months after the split, Kent offered more insight into the couple’s split, sharing, “He was very religious and had all these ideas that I should be a certain way when I wasn’t. Our values were different. I’m a little more spiritual, a little bit more carefree and wild.”
“I don’t want to be with somebody who wants me to change. I want somebody to love me for me.”
