Based on the New York Times’ Modern Love column which explores the trials and tribulations of love, lust, and relationships, the highly anticipated upcoming Amazon series has everyone talking – mainly because of its A-list cast.
The lineup includes: John Slattery, Dev Patel, Catherine Keener, Andy García, Cristin Milioti, Brandon Victor Dixon, Olivia Cooke, Andrew Scott, Julia Garner, Shea Whigham, Gary Carr, Sofia Boutella, and John Gallagher Jr.
And yesterday, it was announced that Anne Hathaway and Tina Fey are also joining the series.
“It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store,” showrunner and producer John Carney said. “We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favorite actors. It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty.”
Behind the lens, Emmy Rossum — who played Fiona Gallagher in the hit comedy series, ‘Shameless’— is set to direct an episode written by the late Audrey Wells, alongside Sharon Horgan and Tom Hall.
While they are still filming the series, we do know that it will feature eight half-hour long episodes which will explore love in its many forms.
