Ari Kumar became the next Islander to exit Love Island Australia last night, alongside Ronni Krongold. However, it seems a lot of the audience weren’t quite ready to see her go.

Chatting exclusively to WHO this morning, she was yet to get access to her socials back, but said she was hoping for ‘a positive response’ online.

“I hope there are some delicious, sexy men in my DMS, waiting for me – I’m looking forward to it,” she said with a laugh.

When Ari does get back online, she’ll notice the response to her exit has been quite a sad one.

The official Love Island Australia Instagram account posted a picture of Ari walking out of the villa after the episode aired last night.

“Awful decision, Ari had such a tough ride, deserves better,” one fan wrote.

“Australia want their chance now to vote which Islanders should leave the villa, you lot are getting rid of the good ones,” another added.

“Bring back Ari 😢❤️❤️,” one simply said.

The audience really took to the web content writer, who seemed to stay true to herself throughout her Love Island experience.

“I’m actually feeling quite positive, I feel like I wasn’t portrayed in any bad way, I was just being genuine and myself,” she said.

“I definitely think there were people that probably weren’t as genuine in the villa.

“I think things happen for a reason, and I think the truth eventually comes out as well, all in good time,” she said deviously.

However, the strong friendships formed by Ari in the Villa meant there weren’t a lot of hard feelings going around when it came to her exit.

“I definitely was expecting to make friendships, just because it is a high-intensity, like emotions are high and people naturally gravitate towards each other, but I wasn’t expecting to get such great friends,” she said.

“Especially Jess and Courtney I’ve grown to love, and I miss the most out of everyone, although I do love all the girls,” she qualified.

“When I left the Villa, a lot of comments were made about how everyone will see me on the outside, and there was a lot of reassuring – especially from the girls, that we will see each other soon, and yeah, there’s a lot of plans that we made while we were in the villa for our future as well.”

“I hope my best friends Aaron and Jess win Love Island.”

Although Ari made a lot of strong friendships, she struggled romantically in the Villa.

She was first paired up with Ryan, who was then stolen by ‘bomb’ Lexy in a re-coupling, forcing Ari to move on.

She tried out a connection with Ronni, and found they had a lot in common, but ultimately, no romance sparked there, with Ari claiming that he eventually gave her ‘the ick’.

“I wish me and Taku had given things a better go, but I think, on Taku’s behalf it was more so that he didn’t want to hurt me,” she reflected.

Ari and Taku were paired up very briefly, right before Ryan chose to couple up with her in the very first coupling.

“We had a really good friendship, and I think he was too scared of losing that if we would have pursued something more romantic … I’m glad that me and Taku are still friends,” she confirmed.

And as for what she’s looking for now…

“I still haven’t dated in so long, so I don’t really have a type, but I think I was really hoping someone with a little bit more diversity would enter the Villa,” she told Hit Entertainment this morning.

“Maybe mixed-race, some cultural background, I do really like how there were a lot of guys there with dark features, but one thing that stood out to me was that the boys had very nice, light eyes,” she said.

“I didn’t realise how attractive that was until I was in the Villa,” she laughed.

“I think this experience has really taught me to wear my heart on my sleeve just a little bit more, and I think I’m very optimistic about what’s next for me.”

Love Island Australia airs Monday to Thursday, 8:45pm, on Nine.
