It’s been six years since the controversial Blake Garvey was the Bachelor, but the cheeky production team at The Bachelorette managed to throw some subtle shade at him during Wednesday night’s episode.

During the show’s Halloween themed episode, the mansion was decked up in all sorts of spooky fare. Cobwebs, costumes, the lot!

But eagle-eyed fans noticed that one of the fake skeletons was decked out in a suit with a rose pinned to its lapel, plus a name tag that read ‘Blake G’.

Blake famously proposed to his winner Sam Frost during the season two finale, however it was announced shortly after that he had not only broken things off with Sam, but also started a relationship with second runner-up, Louise Pillidge.

Even host Osher Günsberg poked fun at the Blake Garvey swipe on Twitter as the episode aired.

“Oh my goodness. Did you see that skeleton? Did you SEE the name on it?” he exclaimed to his followers.

He also shared a GIF of the name tag reveal moment, captioning it: “Never forget the dirty street pie,” in reference to the disastrous pie date Blake had with contestant Laurina Fleure.

The Bachelor and Bachelorette host commented on the Blake, Sam and Louise scandal in 2016 to Brisbane radio duo Stav and Abby and admitted he could relate to Blake and Sam’s initial break up.

“I saw what happened with Blake and Sam Frost and I have been through that similar thing where I have been with one woman and ‘sorry, no, I’ve made the wrong” (decision), reverse park, get out of there’ …”

Osher also sympathised with Blake and Louise following their own break up.

During the Halloween episode, leading ladies Becky and Elly came under fire when a game of Never Have I Ever turned ugly.

In the game, Becky revealed that she’d cheated on a previous partner and Elly had to spill details about her “weekend” fling with Joe pre-Bachelorette.

Ahead of the episode, Elly confessed to Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson that she and Joe had “a bit of a casual thing” that occurred on one occasion.

“Bec and I, we’re honest people. We’re not liars, and I don’t think we would have forgiven ourselves if we were to go on there and just lie about s**t,” Elly told the radio duo.

Joe previously lived with Elly’s best friend, Katie, for six months.
