After the remarkable success of Netflix’s interactive feature-length film, Back Mirror: Bandersnatch— which allowed viewers to build their own storyline by choosing from a series of options— the streaming giant has gifted us with another choose your own adventure series titled, You Vs. Wild.
The live-action doco series follows former SAS serviceman and adventurer, Bear Grylls… Yeah, that’s right, the guy who drinks his own urine, eats elephant poo and snacks raw octopus. Eek.
Anyway, I digress.
You vs. Wild invites users to guide the survivalist through eight expeditions where he will navigate his way through dense jungles, towering mountains and brutal deserts, leaving you to decide what he eats, the path he chooses and, of course, whether he lives or dies.
“I’m so proud to deliver this first-of-its-kind live-action interactive series, really giving viewers an all-access pass to explore the world and its landscapes in my boots,” Grylls said in a statement. “The stakes are high in this one!”

The news of the upcoming series comes months after the streaming service dropped their first interactive series, Bandersnatch.
At the beginning of the standalone film, a tutorial explains that viewers have two options to pick from and they’ll have to do so within seconds. From what cereal the main character Stefan eats to discovering how his mother died, his storyline, and essentially his fate, is in user’s hands.
The series drops on April 10.
