Bec Judd is quite the famous face in Australia, but she was no match for a certain A-lister when she was bumped for a lavish photoshoot location.
Bec, 37, explained on her radio show The 3pm Pick Up that she was meant to do a photoshoot in Byron Bay for Jagged, the activewear brand that she co-owns, but something came up.
“We booked out this amazing place, this awesome location out in the hinterlands for a day. We were getting excited to shoot it and then we got bumped from the location because they’d taken this really really big booking,”
Bec added that the place in question was “quite pricey” which left Bec wondering who could afford to stay in such a house for a long time.
“Then on the plane on the way home I was talking to somebody and I’d said what our plans had been and he said ‘Oh I know who booked that place and bumped you,'” Bec recounted before revealing that it was Matt Damon.
It’s unclear whether or not Matt Damon, 49, was confirmed as the mystery location booker but the Bourne Identity star does enjoy spending time in Byron Bay.
The Hollywood actor and his wife Luciana Barroso, who are friends with Byron Bay celeb locals Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, once rented a $24,000-a-month mansion and in 2018, rented a $4 million home in the NSW coastal location for four months.
Matt and Luciana are currently back in Los Angeles and have been spotted out and about in face masks.
This isn’t the first close celebrity encounter Bec has had by any means.
The fashion influencer also spoke on her radio show about how her wedding dress caught the attention of Yvette Prieto, the now-wife of basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Not only did Yvette’s dress end up being made by the same designers as Bec’s but a photo showed just how similar the weddings looked.
“It’s the same silhouette as my wedding dress. There’s a very similar photo of Chris and I in a similar pose on the dancefloor with the same lighting – uncanny!”
“I’ve married the white GOAT and she’s married the black GOAT!” she added, referring to the acronym for Greatest Of All Time.
Bec and her family are currently back in isolation at their Melbourne home due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
The mum-of-four shared a meme of a map of Australia divided into the states with the words “Thank you for doing the right thing” on each state but over the state of Victoria, it read: “Not you.”
“This gave me the laugh I needed tonight but seriously, thinking of all Melburnians, especially the millions of us who have been doing the right thing since March,” she wrote.
“It’s so disappointing we find ourselves in this position because of a very small minority. Melbourne is still the best city in the world, just not for the next six weeks! Look after each other.”
