Like any older sister would, Bindi Irwin is seriously struggling with seeing her little brother, Robert, stripped down to his underwear and plastered all over social media.
Opening up on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, the 26-year-old wildlife conservationist admitted, “There are some things as his sister that I can’t just unsee,” when asked what it’s like to see people ‘go nuts’ over her brother.
Robert, 21 — the youngest child of the late Steve Irwin — has been busy branching out from the family’s wildlife work. Alongside co-hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia, he’s now following in Bindi’s footsteps and joining the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.
But the announcement didn’t come quietly. Robert appeared at a DWTS event shirtless, with a snake wrapped around his shoulders, just weeks after starring in a Bonds campaign wearing nothing but his undies (and another snake, of course).
“Because when he did the Dancing [With the Stars] announcement, he was also just shirtless,” Bindi said. “And he recently did his Bonds commercial where he was just in his underwear and it is… it is rough.” she tells Kelce.
Still, despite the second-hand embarrassment, during the podcast episode, Bindi couldn’t help but say how proud she is of her younger brother — even if she does have to occasionally shield her eyes.
“I really wanna be supportive. I really am so proud of him. He’s taking the message of conservation to new heights,” she joked.
Regardless of his new heartthrob status, Bindi also revealed how good of an uncle he is to her daughter, Grace.
“He is such a good uncle,” she gushed. “As Grace has grown up, she just gets more and more excited to go on Uncle Robert adventures, because, you know, he kind of like pushes the limits a little. He does fun things, and exciting things, and so she loves it, and he’s so present with her which I love so much,”
Even in the midst of his glow-up, it’s the down-to-earth Robert — the one making memories with Grace — that Bindi sees and loves most.
“Dad was such an adventurer and I see that in Robert,” she added when speaking with Kelce.
