At the end of last year before meeting her current boyfriend Jordan Thompson, Brittany Hockley took her fertility into her own hands and made the decision to freeze her eggs.
And whilst she did so on her own terms, his reaction when she told him was pretty darn sweet.

Britt, 33, made the decision to take control of her fertility as she “wanted to know that I would have the option down the track if need be.”
“I was very single when I chose to freeze my eggs,” Britt explained on her and Laura Byrne’s podcast Life Uncut.
The former Bachelor contestant added that she had her consultation on a Friday and that Friday night was the first time she met tennis player Jordan, who was 26, on their first date.
“Most of you know Jordan and I fell head over heels in love from day one, we started to spend every day together so after about a week, it was really soon, I just told him what was happening. It’s something that you can’t hide from your partner, and I didn’t want to hide it.”
She then recounted how she told Jordan that she was about to start her egg freezing process on a walk at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
“I was like ‘Is this going to scare him off because he thinks I want to settle down and have kids now?’ He didn’t really say anything, we didn’t have a big conversation about it, we just changed the subject.”
However, the next day Jordan came back to Britt and revealed he’d researched egg freezing on his own so that the two could have a proper conversation about it, something the Bachelor alum said she was “so thankful for.”
“He asked a lot of questions, he said ‘I understand now why you want to do it, I’m completely encouraging of it, but I don’t know if I want kids and I didn’t want to tell you that straight up,'” Britt recalled.
“We had to have a conversation on whether we even continue dating if he’s a strong no and I’m a strong yes but neither of us are strong on either. He would be probably leaning more toward not having kids for another 10 years whereas I’m like I definitely have to have kids before then.
“So the best thing that we could’ve done in this situation is freeze our eggs because if in 10 years time we do want to have a child and I can’t anymore, I’ve got those there. So he was really great about it.”
Things are certainly going well between Britt and Jordan at the moment, as Britt has accompanied her tennis player beau as he plays in various international tournaments.
In fact, the former Bachie contestant even joked about their hypothetical wedding on Instagram earlier this week.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Britt shared a video of herself listening to Jordan blasting NSYNC’s hit It’s Gonna Be Me in the next room.
“@jordanthompson (not so) low-key love for @nsync is everything. Please play at our wedding one day,” she joked in her caption.
