She may be head over heels for her professional tennis player boyfriend Jordan Thompson, but Brittany Hockley isn’t going to be moving overseas with him just yet.
Bachelor star Brittany was dating Jordan, 27, for four months before he jetted off to play tennis overseas but in a chat with Stellar, the reality TV star revealed that her priorities lie with her career.
Along with fellow Bachie star Laura Byrne, Britt hosts podcast Life Uncut and works as a hospital radiographer.
“I’m 33 and I really wanted to focus on my career, but maybe I will go with him next year. Let’s see how we go,” she told the publication.
Brittany also confessed that after 10 years of being single, she’s used to being on her own but thought that because of it she’d “become desensitised to human affection and touch.”
“I’d forgotten that it felt like to have a close, physical relationship – so I definitely miss that. I’m not a needy person but I’ve found myself getting massages once a week so someone touches me!” she added.
Earlier this week, Brittany posted a loving tribute to Jordan in honour of his recent birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the Bachelor beauty shared a video of an epic photo collage of her and Jordan’s most loved-up moments.
“‘Be patient’ they said. ‘It will be worth it’ they said. I don’t know who ‘they’ are, but they were right. Just as I was about to throw in the towel,” Britt mused in the caption.
“Even though you come with some pretty big hurdles, like living in Australia only one month a year LOLZ (I mean let’s be real, with my history what did I expect ) you’re so much greater than anything I could have imagined. I didn’t know people like you existed.
“(Ps I know you’ll hate this post but sucked in that will teach you for being on the other side of the world) @jordanthompson2004 #love.”
Before Jordan came into the picture, Brittany was infamously dumped in the shock season six Bachelor finale by Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins and briefly dated Timm Hanly who she met whilst filming the third season of Bachelor in Paradise.
“It makes all the heartbreak and everything I have been through worth it,” she said in a previous chat with WHO.
Britt also explained that due to their six year age gap, she didn’t go into the relationship with any expectations that it would get serious – which she thought was a good thing.
“But Jordan is really different from what people think he is. He is very kind and gentle, thoughtful and loving. We laugh nonstop when we’re together.”
Britt and Jordan made their Instagram debut back in February after months of rumours that the two were dating.
“I waited a long time to play doubles and there were a couple of lets along the way (ok one more I had to I mean do you expect anything less!?) and it was worth every single second,” she sweetly wrote in her caption.
“@jordanthompson2004 sorry for my puns accept me as I am ok love you bye.”
