We’ve heard some pretty interesting names in our time, but Brittany Hockley’s middle name is up there for one of the most unusual.

Speaking on her podcast Life Uncut with co-host Laura Byrne, the Bachelor beauty shared details about her middle moniker.
“My middle is a family name, one child every generation has to have it, and it’s Mayo. As in yes, the condiment,” she revealed.
“It’s grown on me. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know how I felt in the early days and now I have to call one of my children Mayo.”
Britt also shared her boyfriend Jordan Thompson’s thoughts on Mayo, but it wasn’t exactly a glowing review.
“I have notified Jordan and he’s got to roll with it but he’s not overly impressed.”
According to Ancestry.com, the name Mayo is actually full of history – and no, not because of mayonnaise.
The site says that Mayo is a derivative of the English and Irish name Mayhew, or the French Mailhot.
Other sources say that Mayo is an Irish and Gaelic boy’s name that meas “yew tree plain”.
At least it’s not Britt’s first name…
Since boyfriend Jordan is a professional tennis player, he and Britt are currently doing their relationship long distance but the former Bachie star has plans to travel and be with her man.
“I’m going away for a few months to see Jordan. I’m going to Wimbledon first, then possibly Mexico and then America,” Britt said on a recent Instagram Story.
“He needed someone to help him out with tournament logistics, so I put my hand up.”
Though travel is on the cards for her this winter, Brittany confessed to the Daily Telegraph that she’s not quite ready to uproot her life and move overseas to be with Jordan just yet.
“I’m 33 and I really wanted to focus on my career, but maybe I will go with him next year. Let’s see how we go,” she told the publication.
The Bachelor star also confessed that after 10 years of being single, she’s used to being on her own but thought that because of it she’d “become desensitised to human affection and touch.”
“I’d forgotten what it felt like to have a close, physical relationship – so I definitely miss that. I’m not a needy person but I’ve found myself getting massages once a week so someone touches me!”
