Four years after his last studio album, during which he worked on the Broadway musical version of Pretty Woman, Canadian rocker Bryan Adams proves he still knows his way around a catchy three-minute tune.
Shine a Light includes a dozen to-the-point tracks, including the title track, which Adams wrote with Ed Sheeran.
Vocally, he collaborates with Jennifer Lopez on “That’s How Strong Our Love Is”, but it’s the towering choruses of “All Or Nothing” and “The Last Night on Earth” that stand out most.

Meanwhile, Adams has a blast on the bluesy “Driving Under the Influence of Love” and “No Time for Love”. Expect a number of songs from the album to be performed live when Adams’ Shine a Light tour reaches Australia on Mar. 21. (Out now) 3 stars
