After months of digging for clues, Marvel finally confirmed the title and release date for the upcoming sequel, revealing at CinemaCon that the film will be titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The latest news follows shortly after Tom Holland revealed that he would be donning the superhero suit for a fourth film, telling The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, “It’s happening. Next summer we start shooting, everything’s good to go, and we’re nearly there. [It’s] super exciting, I can’t wait.”

A few days prior, the 28-year-old also offered a brief insight into the film’s upcoming script, telling The Rich Roll podcast, “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job. I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me.”

“Zendaya and I sat down [and] read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room,” he continued.

While the news of a new addition to the Spiderverse is exciting enough, Tom’s latest venture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe marks the first time a Spider-Man series has been green-lit for a fourth film, with his predecessors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield starring in three and two films, respectively.

As fans count down the days until our next adventure through the multiverse, keep scrolling to find out what we know so far about the upcoming Spider-Man film.

When is the next Spider-Man movie coming out?

While the detective work of fans may have given us a rough idea of when the movie will drop, Marvel finally set the record straight during the 2025 CinemaCon, revealing that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in cinemas on July 31, 2026.

Who is the cast of Spider-Man 4?

After No Way Home, fans are itching to find out whether the three spidies, aka Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland, will be making a feature-length film alongside each other for Brand New Day.

While we don’t have much more info about the returning cast other than Tom and Zendaya, sources speaking to Deadline have reported that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink will be joining the upcoming sequel.

Despite not sharing any further insight into who Sadie will be portraying, the running fan theory is that she will be introduced to the saga as X-Men’s Jean Grey – most recently played by Sophie Turner.

If you’ve seen the post-credit scene of the 2021 film, you’ll know that they teased the arrival of Venom into the current storyline, and based on the parallel universe subplot of the most recent movie, fans are anticipating *a lot* of crossovers to other Marvel franchises.

Although the antagonist’s arrival was alluded to following the release of the final Venom film in 2024, it is unknown whether Tom Hardy will join this side of the Spiderverse for the fourth film.
