More than a year has passed since Caitlyn Jenner’s transition stirred up tensions with Kris Jenner and her famous daughters – but where do Jenner and the Kardashians stand now?
Jenner, 66, spent a relaxed Father’s Day with her 18-year-old daughter Kylie on Sunday, though some might have noticed that Kylie’s oldest sisters – Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian – were noticeably absent both in person and on social media.
“Things aren’t going great with Caitlyn,” an insider close to the family tells WHO of the I Am Cait star’s relationship with the Kardashian sisters. “The way she threw Kris under the bus so badly [in the Vanity Fair cover story last June] made the girls so mad. Khloé still isn’t in a good place with her and hasn’t really forgiven her.”
Adds the source: “The whole situation made them so close to their mom.”
Khloé made it clear on the latest season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she “was done with Caitlyn” after the pair got into a fight over the 31-year-old’s Howard Stern in which Khloé said Caitlyn was “not honest” to Kris about her transition.
The pair seemingly made up following the interview, but Khloé remained silent on Sunday about Caitlyn, whom she had previously called her “second father”.
As for her sisters, both Kim and Kourtney shared loving posts on Sunday about their late father, Rob Kardashian, but made no mention of Caitlyn.
Although 20-year-old sister Kendall wasn’t physically present for Father’s Day, she did share a heartwarming photo for her dad, posting a heart emoji next to a picture of Caitlyn holding her younger self.
For her part, Kris posted a collage tribute to all the father figures in her life, including Caitlyn.
“Obviously, I was angry,” Kris, 60, said of the VF cover back in October. “But we are all good now and have moved past it.”
