January. I was doing trial shows to work on new material. Each night I’d forget five minutes, but it was a different five minutes every time. By the end of the week, I’d done the whole show, but not all at once.

I may have been given a massive box of chocolates, that I’d intended to share with my husband and son, but which never made it back home from my show venue.

Last August, I discovered every Australian is entitled to a free portrait of the Queen, which they can request from their local MP. I’m not much of a royalist, but it did make Christmas shopping a lot easier.

When I was co-hosting The Guilty Feminist podcast in Sydney, and Effie (Mary Coustas) was on as a guest. The funniest icon I’ve ever met. (Keep an ear out for the episode, it’s brilliant).
… TV show she binged
The American version of The Office. It finished in 2013 and I’m only watching it now. I’d hate to be accused of jumping on a bandwagon.
… time she laughed inappropriately
Watching a musical and realising the seated actor at the front of the group number had his hair caught around the shirt button of the guy standing behind. Watching the cast try to keep singing, untangle the hair and not laugh was glorious. As a performer it’s doubly funny because you know how it feels when things go wrong.
