After a year of marriage, Cardi B and her husband Offset have split up.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper took to Instagram in a video titled ‘There you go.. peace and love’ to share the news.
“I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby’s father for a hot minute now. We’re really good friends and we’re really good business partners … but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time,” the 26-year-old said.
“And it’s nobody’s fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore,” she said, before adding: “It might take time to get a divorce.”
Cardi B and the Migos rapper have been married since September 2017, after he proposed to her on stage at one of his concerts in Philadelphia. The former couple welcomed a baby girl together in July, Kulture King.
Their shocking split comes days after Cardi failed to appear in court. The rapper, who faces charges for assult and reckless endangerment, was seen picking up a bucket of ice and throwing it at a female worker during a nasty fight at a Queens strip club. During the fight, she allegedly ordered her friends to beat up the waitress at the club. The New York City judge overseeing the case threatened to order a bench warrant after she skipped court.
