Carrie Bickmore has come out in defence of Pink after the singer was forced to postpone three Sydney shows due to sickness.
The ‘What About Us’ singer cancelled the three shows on medical advice and was even admitted to hospital to be treated for a gastric virus.
Whilst most fans were understanding, some were reported to be disappointed about the late notice of Monday night’s show cancelation, with the announcement being made at at approximately 4:30pm the same day.
The Project’s Carrie defended Pink on Tuesday’s episode, reminding people how much Pink loves Australia.
“What do fans want, to go and have her be sick over them. I don’t think she’s like ‘I really want gastro’,” she said.
“It’s not ideal, it’s not what she wants. Given how many shows she’s done in Australia, thousands, she loves our country, don’t make her hate coming here because we get sad when she’s got the poos.”

Carrie isn’t the first person with profile to defend the superstar. Justin Timberlake jumped to her defence last week after Pink responded to criticism that she had lied about her health to enjoy a day off with her family.
“As an artist who has had the fortune of sharing the stage twice on tour with this incomparable BADASS (once with ‘NSync and once as a solo artist), I’m here to tell you that you won’t find a harder working, more authentically talented, and more thankful for her place on that stage and her fans than this woman. Night in and night out… the woman just brings it. But DAY 1’s and 2’s know that.”
Pink still has a number of shows to perform in Sydney. Rescheduled dates for the postponed concerts have not been announced.
