As one of Australia’s greatest-ever actors, Cate Blanchett is the queen of reinvention – playing everything from queens to drug addicts to mystical beings.
So, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that her amazing skills extend to passing as an ordinary person on the street – as she did here when photographed in London.
The iconic star of Elizabeth, The Lord of the Rings and Carol passed largely unnoticed on the streets of the UK capital.

We shouldn’t be too surprised at the famously blonde star’s current change of look – she recently debuted her rich brown mane on the BAFTAs red carpet. According to her make-up artists Morag Ross, the dark colour is for her current role at The National Theatre.
Speaking to Elle magazine, Cate gave credit to Morag for some of her iconic looks, which have seen her command the screen and win a legion of fans.
‘First, I need to give credit to my amazing makeup artist Morag Ross,’ she told the publication.

‘I’ve worked with her for years, and she’s truly a genius. And I will say that she’s used the SK-II mist to help set my looks, because it’s hydration but not shiny. I can’t stand powder, and feeling dry on my face. This mist, I guess it is sort of an immortal primer, if you want to call it that, because it keeps the glow but also seals my makeup look in.’
We can’t wait to see the ultra-talented Cate back on the big screen!
