On Tuesday night, it was announced that Shaynna Blaze has won the title of Celebrity Apprentice as well as a whopping $100,000 for her chosen charity on top of the $326,000 she raised from her finale fundraising event.
The total of $426,000 was a record-breaking number in Celebrity Apprentice.
Meanwhile Ross was able to donate $83,500 to the Australian Red Cross.
“I’m so proud to win @CelebrityApprentice for my charity @VoiceofChangeAU,” Shaynna wrote on Instagram after the finale.
“We had our struggles staging a pink carpet gala auction on a tiny budget, and there were moments (many moments) that we thought we’d be serving our guests no food or entertainment in the dark and without any audio!
“All the time pressure and budget pressure you saw when @ljclarkson dropped in on us at our cavernous venue was 100% real.
The mum-of-two then shared a heartfelt dedication to her kids and assistant and former co-star Martha Kalifatidis.
“But with my kids @carlyannekenneally and @jesskenneally, and @marthaa__k at my side and a truly epic effort, we created the impossible from almost nothing and seeing our guests enjoying the evening and bidding vigorously for all the items generously donated for our auction was a thrill I will never forget.
“Congratulations to @mrrossnoble, a true genius and a fantastic opponent. I’m so happy for him and his charity @redcrossau, with which he has an incredibly personal connection.
“Congratulations too to all our fellow competitors over the season. It was great fun getting to know everyone under what were some seriously challenging circumstances at times, and I know I’ve made lifelong friends through the process.
“I’m so glad that I took the plunge with Celebrity Apprentice. It’s one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most rewarding and at the end of the day it’s all about my charity Voice of Change which champions meaningful education about family violence through the arts to bring about prevention and change. “Lastly, thanks to everyone who supported me with lovely messages on social media through the season. I’ve loved hearing your feedback and chatting to you on Instagram Live!”
Ahead of the final, Shaynna was tipped to be the winner by the bookies and had impressive odds throughout the series.
Speaking to WHO last year whilst she was still filming the show, the interior design expert and Block judge revealed what billionaire boss Lord Alan Sugar was really like, behind his tough-as-nails, no nonsense on-screen persona.
“Don’t tell anyone, he’s actually a sweetheart,” Shaynna revealed on the 2020 AACTA Awards red carpet.
“I actually found him to be the nicest person, he was great.”
She added: “Look, I’ve got to say with what he’s achieved in his life and where he is, he’s pretty down to earth and he says it like it is. As everything with I do, I do a truth bomb and a lot of people don’t like that so I totally respect him for it.”
This year, the contestants ranged from reality TV stars through to ARIA Award winning singers.
Amongst the cast were fitness queen Michelle Bridges, fashion designer Camilla Franks, Survivor champ David Genat and radio DJ Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.
But alas, most couldn’t the handle the heat in the boardroom.
According to TV Blackbox, the decision to reboot Celebrity Apprentice in 2021 was in response to the pandemic, with the network looking to commission a show that had proven to be a commercial success.
Now it’s all done and dusted, bring on the next season!
