Rumour became reality when Home and Away co-stars Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart were confirmed to be in a relationship after splitting from their respective partners.
And now the couple has gone ”red carpet official” by appearing together at the 64th TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday, August 18.
The pair looked stunning and perfectly matched as they spoke to reporters on the red carpet.
Nicodemou wowed in a dramatic black gown with one shoulder and a plunging neckline, accessorised with middle-parted and slicked back hair, gold earrings and a matching gold clutch bag.
Stewart looked dapper in a velvet dinner jacket, black bow tie, white shirt and black pants.
The couple looked relaxed and smiled as they chatted away ahead of the awards ceremony, holding hands and laughing as they posed on the red carpet.
Speaking to TV WEEK on the red carpet, the pair revealed they were loving their shared look.
“I know, I love that we’re matching,” Stewart said.
“We look really good, I think,” Nicodemou added, revealing it “feels great” to be walking the red carpet with Stewart.
“We’re really happy. Obviously we work together, so we were always going to be here together. But I’m just so excited to share the night with you [James],” the star told her man.
“I cannot wait to dance together at the after party,” she went on. “We’re gonna dance the night away. And I mean, James can dance. How good was he on Dancing with the Stars. He knows how to move!”
Earlier in 2024, Stewart’s former partner and ex-Home and Away star Sarah Roberts confirmed that they had split after four years of marriage.
”Sometimes people just grow apart and that’s OK,” Roberts explained in an interview in July 2024.
Meanwhile, Nicodemou quietly separated from her husband, Adam Rigby, towards the end of last year.
The relationship between Nicodemou and Stewart, who play on-screen lovers Leah and Justin, apparently turned romantic in early 2024.
On Anzac Day, the enamoured pair were spotted heading out on a dinner date, which led to them passionately kissing and cuddling on the street afterwards.
Nicodemou told Stellar in July 2024 that the relationship was in its ”early days” but added both were in their 40s (Nicodemou is 47, Stewart 48) and at that age, ”you know what you want and what you don’t.”
”It’s very recent and very unexpected,” she said. ”I’m super-happy. It’s really lovely.”
Nicodemou told Sunrise said she wasn’t bothered by the fact that the relationship had been made public even though it was still very much in its early stages.
”Look, you know, whether (the romance), is out there or not, it doesn’t really change our relationship,” she said.
”We’re happy. We’re together. James is such an amazing actor. I love working with him.
”That’s not changed … so whether it’s out there or not doesn’t really change anything for us.’’
