Pip Christmass

With more than 20 years of experience as a journalist, Pip’s career has seen her writing about art, fashion, music, entertainment, news, celebrity, lifestyle and travel. Starting out as an arts and entertainment writer for The West Australian Newspaper in Perth, Pip then went on to become its fashion editor for six years, covering Australian Fashion Week, styling some of Australia’s best-known models and interviewing some of the world’s top designers. Pip’s fashion career took her around the world, from meeting designers in Dubai to watching a holographic Burberry show in Beijing. After a brief episode in Melbourne freelancing as an arts and fashion writer for Broadsheet, Pip returned to Perth in 2017, where she veered into digital news production for Yahoo7 and then 7NEWS.com.au. At the height of COVID, she was reporting from the coalface of the pandemic, before eventually returning to her first love - entertainment - for 7LIFE. Other career highlights have included meeting Bond star Daniel Craig, interviewing Yoko Ono at 3am in the morning, and meeting Paloma Picasso, the Tiffany-designing daughter of Pablo Picasso. Now a freelance writer, Pip’s major obsessions include travel, 1960s fashion and music, cats - especially black ones - and all things celebrity and entertainment.
