Disney’s Princess Cinderella touched down in Australia ahead of the game and, upon making her entrance, she headed straight to Westfield Southland in Victoria for some royal treatment.

Earlier this year, as part of World Princess Week celebrations, Westfield and Disney announced they would “spark magic” at Westfield destinations across Australia in September and October, with captivating storytelling sessions, interactive moments and magical experiences featuring some of the most cherished characters from the worlds of Disney Princesses.

In news that will delight parents everywhere, as part of the event, “Spark Magic Stations” will appear at 41 Westfield destinations across Australia.

The stations offer fun school holiday activities for children of all ages; including Disney Princess-inspired face painting and a variety of ever-changing royal activities including Fairy Godmother wand-making sessions, bead bracelets and crown decorating.

Everyone knows Cinderella is a fan of her signature glass slipper, which – as the fairytale goes – she once lost at a ball. So, when she arrived at Westfield, it was only apt that she recieve a gift of a bespoke crystal football shoe ahead of the big game.

Cinderella, who donned her iconic blue ballgown for the royal engagement, was presented with the glistening boot by Alex Pendlebury, who has a prince charming of her own, Collingwood’s Scott Pendlebury.

Overjoyed with the gift, Cinderella posed for pictures with Pendlebury and her children.

Speaking of the magical event, Pendlebury said, “Well what better way to Welcome Cinderella to Victoria in Grand Final Week than by giving her a glass football shoe?”

Celebrity shoe designer, Lana Wilkinson, was among the other guests there on the day and for her, it was all about the footwear.

“It was a great way for us to spend a day in the school holidays – and we’re definitely a fashion family so my favourite part of Cinderella is obviously her shoe,” she said.

And as for what the princess was really like in person?

“She’s just a really beautiful person and kind, and that’s what we want to be.”

Cinderella spent the day meeting many other princes and princesses who came to see her.

Will Cinderella be visiting anywhere else in Australia?

The royal tour will continue at Westfield Southland until October 2 and then Cinderella will visit Westfield Parramatta in NSW where she will appear from Monday October 7.

Shoppers can book in for a meet and greet with the Disney Princess, in Southland or Parramatta with all proceeds going to Make A Wish.
