Dolly Parton fans were concerned for the singer’s health after a worrying Facebook post from her sister, Frieda, sparked concern for Dolly’s.
Frieda revealed she’d been “up all night praying” for Dolly following the news that the singer had postponed her Las Vegas residency due to “health challenges.”
The post sent fans into a frenzy, and Frieda later clarified her comments.
“Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,” the post read.

She added that she’d been “up all night tonight praying for my sister, Dolly.”
“With all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
Dolly took to Instagram with a video where she addressed the health rumours.
“There are just a lot of rumours flying around. But I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay.”
“Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here! … Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease—those of you who seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate.”
“I want you to know that I’m OK. I’ve got some problems … nothing major. … I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, where I’m kind of having a few treatments here and there.”
“But I wanted you to know that I’m not dying. … I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working.”
She also joked about a fake AI image of her and Reba McEntire: “If I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed.”
Her video was captioned, “I ain’t dead yet.”
