Wait… Are Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz dating?

All eyes are on this potential tennis power couple.

With just as much player talent in the stands as on the court, it was hard for tennis fans to know where to look when Carlos Alcaraz competed in London at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships on June 21.

But following the match, the handsome Spanish star let Emma Raducanu know how much he appreciated her support after the British athlete had cheered him on from the balcony with a big smile on her face.

“I am just glad that she came to support me, to watch my match,” he said. “Yeah, I think it was great having her in the stands.”

Are Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz dating?

While the pair have been mates since they rose up through the ranks together in 2021, tongues in the tennis world are now wagging over the possibility their friendship has turned romantic.

“Emma and Carlos’ friendship was the talk of Queen’s – people think there is something going on between them because they have such a spark,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“He was apparently seen at her hotel last week, and on Thursday and Saturday, when Emma went to support him, Emma’s car arrived just minutes after Carlos got to Queen’s with his team.

“Inside, they were seen laughing and joking with one another. They seem very happy and relaxed with each other.”

With their thoughts now focused on playing at Wimbledon, where Carlos was already the firm favourite to take home the men’s singles trophy before play got underway on June 30, the next few months will offer plenty of time for the couple to spend time together.

What is happening with the US Open Mixed Doubles comp in 2025?

The tennis champs, both 22, have teamed up to play at the US Open mixed doubles championship in August.

The revamped and streamlined two-day competition has attracted plenty of high-level talent, with Nick Kyrgios and Naomi Osaka, as well as Alex de Minaur and fiancée Katie Boulter all hoping to take part. Alcaraz and Raducanu’s partnership came after he reached out to the US Open 2021 winner.

“I was thinking that I couldn’t play better if it wasn’t with Emma,” Carlos said after one of his matches during the Queen’s tournament.

“I just asked Emma if she wants to play doubles with me. Yeah, I made that special request.”

And while she didn’t immediately say yes, Raducanu, who is currently ranked No. 38 in the WTA, admits she can’t wait.

“To share the court together is something really, really special,” she said in a video shared on the US Open Instagram page. “I really want to do as best as I can to not let my partner down.”

Is Emma Raducanu single?

Of course, dating with all the pressures that come with being a professional athlete is never easy.

“It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are travelling all the time,” Carlos told British newspaper The Times last year.

Emma previously admitted that her mother and father banned her from dating.

“My parents were very much against [boyfriends] as it interfered with training,” she told The Times. “When I was younger, I wasn’t even allowed to hang out with my girlfriends. A lot of the time I was very resentful, but it made me very confident and comfortable in my own company.”

Emma did have a short relationship with Carlo Agostinelli after they began dating in 2023, although the couple split last year.

What happened to Emma Raducanu’s stalker?

Their break-up has been the least of her troubles in the last 12 months, though, with the athlete being followed around the world by a stalker.

The man was escorted from the stands at the Dubai Tennis Championships on February 17, after he tried to give her a letter at her hotel the day before.

It recently emerged that he had entered an online ballot for tickets to Wimbledon, but was banned.

“Wimbledon and everyone did an amazing job,” she told the BBC. “I got a notification, the police contacted me and told me everything was OK.”
