She may have sung, ‘Well, my boyfriend’s in a band,” but Lana Del Rey has seemingly found ‘The One’ with her alligator tour guide husband, Jeremy Dufrene.
Just over one month after nearly breaking the internet with their relationship hard launch, the couple reportedly obtained their marriage license in Louisiana on September 23, 2024, and a few days later, Del Rey and Dufrene were spotted walking down the aisle during an outdoor ceremony in Des Allemandes.
As fans continued to piece together their love story, Lana took to the comments of one of her fan accounts on Instagram to share her first statement confirming their romance.
“Unfortunately, a local couple from Houma won’t stop flying drones into our windows every morning and following us with a tracker. All that being said, Jeremy is the one and only and amazing and we’re very happy.”
The singer also clapped back at paparazzi who had been following the couple since the news of their engagement broke, adding, “Stop following us around remote parts of the country and photoshopping my wedding ring into a pearl – I know we would feel a lot safer.”
Following the wedding, Lana has only made one fleeting comment on her romance, telling InStyle that the newlyweds were “very happy.” However, the singer gave a poignant interview shortly before her wedding day for the October issue of Vogue Italia.
Reflecting on her relationships, Lana shared, “Most of the people I met wanted Hollywood to be the third part of our relationship. When I get married, it’ll be to someone who, like me, believes that love is enough. I’ll be enough for him, and he’ll be enough for me.”
“Someone to have children with if that happens, or friends. I want it to be simple. I need to be with someone who wants to plan to stay home with me,” she continued, adding, “Love is to be saved and that’s magic.”

Lana Del Rey is currently married to a Louisiana alligator tour guide, Jeremy Dufrene.
Prior to rumours of their relationship making headlines, the pair first crossed paths in March 2019 when Lana took an airboat tour of the Louisiana swampland, with the singer sharing a snap to Instagram alongside the airboat tour guide with the caption, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x.”
“I never know who I can run across on my tours but always a pleasure @lanadelrey,” added father-of-two Jeremy.
While her romance with Jeremy may not have taken off after their first meeting, with Lana going on to date Sean Larkin, it appeared that the duo rekindled their connection during another airboat tour in May 2024 ahead of Louisiana’s Hangout Fest, with the singer once again taking to social media to share her thanks.
Since their early 2024 crossover, fans began to wonder if their relationship could be more than strictly business and to the delight, and confusion, of fans, Del Rey and Dufrene seemingly hard-launched their new romance three months later, with on-lookers taking to TikTok to share the first glimpses of the couple holding hands while entering the artist area of England’s Leeds Festival.
As fans took to social media to share their surprise at the songstress’ new beau, so too did an account claiming to be Dufrene’s daughter.
“He just texted our family group chat and asked how I found out. He doesn’t understand social media, I’m in tears. This is not f***ing real,” she tweeted, adding, “In regards to my dad and Lana from my last few tweets, if there’s any type of update, I’ll give it but for now I’ve got nothing to give. I barely talk to my dad let alone care about his love life. I’m just shocked WHO he’s dating.”
While the thread may have quickly gone viral, Lana later chimed in on the speculation – replying to an Instagram post by @thejustinlife discussing the news with a simple, “No.”
The singer then went on to comment, “Also, that’s not his daughter on Twitter,” which seemingly brought an end to the social media frenzy surrounding the tweets.
Following Del Rey’s reply, the Twitter user alleging to be Dufrene’s daughter also responded to the situation, sharing with her followers that the tweets were “clearly a joke.”
“My friends and I made silly fake texts because in our minds it was just way too insane for people to believe it. If ur mad, sorry. If ur not, great! I didn’t do it for clout, idc [sic] about clout at all, I didn’t even have the checkmark til AFTER I tweeted it so no, I’m not making any money off of it. Anyways, stream Lana’s best album, Lust for Life.“
While Lana may have seemingly shut down rumours in the comments section, the pair reignited speculation surrounding their relationship after they were photographed holding hands arriving at model Karen Elson’s wedding in New York’s Greenwich Village.
Although they have not yet commented on the sighting, sources reportedly close to the pair claimed that Del Rey and Dufrene started dating “a few months ago,” telling Daily Mail, “He had no idea who she was at the time, which was refreshing to her, and she didn’t explain immediately.”
“She wanted to go on a boat tour because it’s a big thing in Louisiana, but she never expected to fall for a gator boat captain.”
