Ahhhh, Coachella. Aside from being *the* music festival to be spotted at in the U.S., it’s also become somewhat of an annual tradition to see stars debuting their new romance or shutting down split speculation within the exclusive confines of the VIP section.
2025 proved showed Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet proving they’re still the it couple of the moment. And it also saw Louis Tomlinson hard-launch his new girlfriend.
The singer has since confirmed on The Diary Of A CEO podcast that he feels “so in love” with Zara, and that being in this relationship has given him “a new sense of happiness, and purpose, and fulfilment. And we couldn’t be happier.
Who is Louis Tomlinson dating?
Despite not officially confirming or denying the rumours, Louis has most recently been linked to former Love Island star Zara McDermott.
On August 5, Zara shared a photo on Instagram of herself kissing Louis, making their relationship officially public. The post marked their first appearance as a couple on her grid. Louis commented, “I love you” on the post.
From sweet Instagram comments (“Proud of you x” — swoon) to his podcast confessions about feeling “so in love,” Louis is clearly in his soft-boy era and we’re here for it.
After rumours had circulated for several weeks, the couple appeared to confirm speculation after photos shared by the Daily Mail captured the couple sharing a kiss ahead of the festival’s second weekend.
The apparent confirmation comes one week after the former One Direction star was spotted by several festival-goers just outside the VIP area during Coachella weekend one. While there were no joint sightings of the potential couple, Zara did share several posts to Instagram confirming that she was also in California.
Although fans were disappointed not to see the rumoured new couple together, Zara *did* give her followers somewhat of a soft launch over the first festival weekend – posting a photo of her breakfast spread at a Malibu cafe, with Louis’ tattoos on full display in the background.
Prior to Louis appearing on the podcast in October 2025, they had yet to comment on the romance rumours; however, sources speaking to The Sun claimed, “Zara has already met all the [Tomlinson] family, and they can tell that she has made Louis giddy. It’s the first time in a long time that they have seen him happy.”
“They think Zara is super wholesome and health-conscious, so they are happy he is with someone who shuns the party life,” the insider continued
