In the end, Martha managed to survive another day in the gruelling reality show while Wippa was placed right in the firing line.

While tensions between the pair were running high last night as Wippa was sent packing, Martha has since taken to Instagram to pen her fellow Celeb Apprentice star a message of support.

Sharing a photo of the two of them, all smiles and in matching white and green ensembles, on Monday morning, Martha wrote “@wippa1 you’re a winner in my eyes and that should count for something”.

In a recent interview with WHO, Wippa explained that he formed a close bond with the Married At First Sight star.

“We kind of bonded in terms of being on the same line of thought for a lot of things,” he said.

“We sort of understood each other, in knowing what the other one was thinking and if something wasn’t right, we could go to each other and go ‘hey, I think I can smell a stinker here’.”

Despite their close bond, the pair got into a bit of a tiff last night as a result of the ice cream challenge.

After Martha’s boyfriend Michael Brunelli, whom she met on MAFS, paid a visit to the influencer’s ice-cream van to splurge a few bucks, Wippa’s eyebrows shot up.

“They live in Bondi and he’s driven to Cronulla, to do what? Buy an ice cream,” Wippa said. “Martha, you can’t rely on your partner. You need to be a big girl now.”

In the end, Martha’s team managed to raise more money than Wippa’s – even after Lord Alan Sugar discounted the purchases made by Michael in order to even the playing field.

It came down to Wippa and English comedian Ross Noble to face Lord Alan Sugar’s wrath in the boardroom.

“The key issue here is that you got your pricing, organisation and strategy wrong,” the boss said. “And so Wippa, that was down to you. You’re fired.”

Upon leaving the show, Wippa explained that, while he was “pretty disappointed”, he was also “unbelievably grateful”.

“I can walk away from this with the fun that we’ve had, and I could make that money for the Cooper Rice Brading Foundation… it means the world,” the radio host said.
