They made waves as Billie Connelly and Brad Simon in the steamy smash hit Sex/Life, but off-screen Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi are far more low-key. After meeting on the set of the sexy Netflix drama in 2020, the couple confirmed their romance ahead of its premiere in June 2021.
When the show hit the big-time – yep, more than 67 million households watched Season One – Adam and Sarah began keeping their private life a little more private, sharing only a handful of photos together since its debut.
But for any fans left wondering, we’ve got some good news. The pair’s romance is still going strong, which is good news for any Shemos (Dahi?) stans out there after the show was cancelled after its second season.
Are Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi still together?
Yes! While they may keep their romance a lot more under the radar compared to some other celeb couples, photos posted by DeuxMoi in September 2024 showed Adam and Sarah on vacation together in Lake Como, Italy.
Although it may have been a hot minute since the couple were last spotted together, Adam and Sarah previously put on a loved-up display in 2023 when they visited Australia – and in the year since they have frequently shared insight into their relationship on Instagram.
Opening up about their relationship in an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2021, Sarah revealed their love made her feel “amazing.”
“To be loved so wholly, so completely, it makes me feel amazing,” she said at the time. “And I truly do wear him on my sleeve and I’m proud.”
From their loved-up display on the red carpets, sweet birthday tributes, movie nights at the iconic Cinespia Hollywood Forever Cemetery and sweet snaps of their life in LA – the pair look every bit loved up.
Shortly after confirming their romance in 2021, Adam shared a series of photos on Instagram from their low-key trip to Utah.
With snaps of himself and Sarah hunting and fishing – some classic American pastimes, if ever we’ve heard of them – Adam showed off their holiday at The Lodge at Blue Sky.
“My everything,” Sarah commented on Adam’s post.
Making their Instagram debut as a couple in February 2021, Sarah called Adam her “forever” in a touching tribute on Valentine’s Day.
Meanwhile, Adam had revealed they were an official item a month before, when he celebrated Sarah’s birthday with a sweet post.
“Happy bday my baby,” he wrote. “I f*#kin love you. You’re everything.”
Of course, the show was yet to take off at that point, so the relationship hadn’t quite clicked for fans in quite the way it has now. Put simply, fans are obsessed with these two.
Who was Sarah Shahi married to?
Shortly before confirming her new romance with Adam in 2021, Sarah announced her split from her husband of 11 years, Steve Howey (who fans will know from Shameless).
In 2023, Sarah addressed rumours suggesting she left her husband for co-star Adam, In an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Sarah clarified that there was a gap between her separation from ex-husband Steve and the start of her relationship with Adam.
“When I first met Adam, I was really blown away with him,” Sarah told People of when they first met on the set of Sex/Life.
“We met in the makeup trailer and we just got on instantly. We had the exact same taste in music. We had the same taste in whiskey and tequilas, and I was really blown away by him just as a person and all I knew was that I wanted more.”
