In 2003 Thomas Brodie-Sangster was playing adorable, love struck 10-year-old Simon in Love Actually. Now, over two decades later, he has found his real life happily ever after.
Brodie-Sangster married St Trinian’s star Talulah Riley in a charming ceremony that took place in Hertfordshire in late June.
The couple looked elated as they were pictured strolling out of the church through bursts of confetti, thrown by loved ones on their wedding day.
The couple met on set of their Disney+ mini-series Pistol in 2021 – although Brodie-Sangster has admitted they didn’t start dating until they finished filming. He told The Times that they”hadn’t really acknowledged each other as a romantic possibility until the moment that they both did.” And when they did, they found their forever.
Announcing their engagement in July 2023, The Maze Runner actor delighted fans when he gave his famous romance movie a nod. Taking to Instagram he wrote, “Happy to announce that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is all around X.”
This isn’t the first time Riley has walked down the aisle. The actress was previously married to Billionaire Elon Musk, twice.
The pair tied the knot for the first time in 2010. Musk filed for divorce two years before the pair remarried in 2013.
Speaking to The Independent, Riley explained, “Obviously I understand it looks strange. But that logic made sense at the time.”
She went on to explain that being together after their divorce made them reconsider.
“I suppose the reason to get remarried was just because it felt silly to be together unmarried after having been married,” she shared. “You know, it’s like a habit. We were saying, ‘This is my husband.’ ‘This is my wife.’ ‘Oh, wait, no, we’re not that anymore. We better be that again.’”
The pair ultimately divorced again in 2016 ending their on-and-off romance.
In 2022, Riley revealed that the pair had remained close after their split, telling The Independent,
“He’s a great friend. He looks out for me. We are in a happy place now, where we’re good to each other, which is really nice. I have the utmost love for him.”
Now, the actress is hitched again and looks happier than ever after her wedding day.
For the nuptials, she wore a simple satin gown complete with a floor-length veil and ribbons on the straps while her Artful Dodger star hubby went for an old-fashioned navy blazer, grey trousers, a floral waistcoat and a white cravat necktie.
