While it’s only been two weeks since they publicly confirmed they were dating, Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson’s relationship is getting pretty serious. And by serious, we mean the couple’s parents have already given their blessing.

After posting a series of loved-up videos and selfies together, the Australian singer’s mum Angie gave Miley a shoutout on social media, admitting she couldn’t be happier her son has found love!
“Puts a smile on my dial to see you both so blissfully happy,” Angie wrote on Instagram alongside a sweet photo of Miley and her son. “Hearing your laughs and seeing the smiles on your faces lights up my heart #happyforyouguys #beautifullsouls”
The former Disney star was quick to respond to Angie, commenting a series of black hearts under the adorable snap.
Funnily enough, Cody’s younger sister Alli also gave the “Slide Away” songstress ger tick of approval, publicly revealing last week “they’re very happy and very in love.”
“It’s very new, but they have history and they’re posting about each other a lot,” the 21-year-old singer-songwriter told The Daily Mail.
Despite the fact Miley only announced her split from husband, Liam Hemsworth in August – before enjoying a whirlwind one-month relationship with Brody Jenner’s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter – the American star appears to be totally smitten with Cody, 22.
Last week, Cody appeared to imply that he and Miley have had a romantic connection for much longer than the public realise.
“I’m very happy. We are very, very happy. She’s creative. She’s very passionate about what she does, and I’m very similar in that sense,” he told People.
“That’s why we get along so well. We just have a ball, yeah, and that’s the most important part of a relationship, you know? The reason why it hasn’t been a really crazy sudden thing is because we have been friends for so long…[we] found each other again in a space where we’re both not partying, working really hard, and it just keeps things healthy and it’s good.”
He also claimed his relationship with Miley is unlike any he’s ever had before… which is a slight stab at Cody’s ex-girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.
“Any girlfriends I’ve had in the past has always been immediate romance and so it’s a different experience having been friends with somebody before and it developing naturally into something more.”
As they continue to pack on the PDA, Miley’s ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, is also showering his new Aussie girlfriend, Maddison Brown in affection.
