She’s been one of Australia’s golden girls for years but Delta Goodrem’s recent throwback post taken at the Sydney 2000 Olympics has sent fans into a frenzy!
With the Olympics currently broadcasting around the world and Sydney in lockdown, the 36-year-old singer took the opportunity to share a throwback photo of her teenage self at the 2000 sporting event.
“Throwback pic at the Sydney 2000 #Olympics 💛 gosh! I have so many special memories of this time with my family,” she reminisced in the caption.
Delta then revealed that in honour of the event, currently being held in Tokyo, she would be performing Olympic anthems for her Bunkerdown Sessions – a series of free weekly live-streamed concerts held at her home.
Whilst fans were quick to share their top Olympic hits that they requested Delta to play, many couldn’t get over her sweet throwback snap.
“This photo is so cute 😍” one exclaimed.
“Just a baby,” mused another.
“So cute, and look at those bangs!” a third penned.
Despite having the same name as the deadly COVID variant currently raging across Sydney, Delta has been keeping fans entertained with her weekly Bunkerdown Sessions.
So far her themes have included Disney songs, iconic duets as well as the upcoming Olympics anthems.
“Sending you all lots of love from our living room, to yours,” she sweetly wrote on Instagram.

By Delta’s side both musically and in life is boyfriend Matthew Copley.
The couple were first spotted together in early 2018 but the Born To Try hit maker tends to keep her private life, private.
“It’s a relationship of respect. Matt is an incredible musician and we really enjoy working together. Music is how we met, it’s what we both do, so it’s really about just being creative in the household,” she explained in May last year.
