Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky may have a successful relationship, but there’s one thing the actor hasn’t lived up to.
Speaking on the TODAY show Pataky, 40, revealed that Hemsworth, 33, had promised to learn her native language for her.
“He promised me that when we met. He said, ‘I will be speaking Spanish in two months.’ I’m like, ‘I want to see that.’ We’ve been together for six years and nothing!” she joked. “[But] he’s improving – every year he learns, like, one or two words,” she said.
However, Pataky is already teaching the couple’s three children, Tristan and Sasha, three, and India, four, to speak Spanish.
“I think it’s really important,” the actress said. “That’s what my mum did for me with Romanian. She speaks to me in Romanian all the time.”
Pataky and Hemsworth started dating in early 2010, and wed months later over Christmas.
