Even before she signed on for The Bachelor, Kirralee “Kiki” Morris was prepared to face bad press. And face it she has. For weeks, headlines have torn into everything from a supposedly chequered romantic past to her cosmetic enhancements and a modelling career that was short on clothes and long on the lingerie.
Morris tells WHO she worried “every day … every single day” about what would transpire, explaining that “everyone I’ve ever met, my whole life, has a misconception.”
In fact, Morris says, “I’ve been in a lot of long-term relationships” and as recently as 2013, she broke off a six-month engagement that temporarily took her to Perth. Dating since she returned to Sydney has been “hard,” she laments. “Guys in Sydney are looking for fun now, not a full-time relationship. I want kids. At least three.”
Going on The Bachelor, Morris reasons, actually posed less of a risk than continuing to look for love in the haunts near Bondi Beach, where she lives by herself and enjoys spending her free time reading crime books, watching horror movies and binge-watching Gossip Girl “for about the hundredth time.”
“There’s no feeling of being lied to” when you’re in the mansion, Morris says. “You know you’re dating a guy who wants a long-term relationship—he’s telling the whole world he wants it! At least you know the other girls he’s dating.”
Whether or not she finds that happy family life with Strahan, Morris maintains she has bigger goals to kick. “I love proving people wrong. I’m not a bimbo. If I change even one opinion, I’ve done my job.”
