In the end, it was a case of too much drama and not enough romance for Megan Marx, the WA health promotions officer who surprised Richie Strahan and millions of The Bachelor fans when she left the mansion on last night’s episode.
Marx tells WHO that “I’d been thinking about leaving for a week,” and says the arrival of three intruders helped seal her decision. “That just made things crazier,” Marx says. “Some of the girls were not having it. I saw how hard it was for the intruders and thought, ‘Megan, this is ridiculous. You’re 27. What are you doing with your life?’”
Marx stands by her assertion she and Strahan had an instant connection, and when asked if she had feelings for him, answers “yes”. But she reveals that after their gravity-defying clifftop single date, they barely spent any time together.
“It doesn’t seem this way from the way the show has been edited and aired, but it was weeks after that date that we got any real time together—even then, it was five minutes here or there. I came on the show to find love, and it got to the point where I knew that wasn’t going to happen.”
