It was tense between Farmer Alex and Eddy during the Farmer Wants A Wife reunion episode, with the pair being the only two who had broken up when the cast all reconnected to film back in January.
After having the strongest spark on the show and leaving before anyone else, Alex and Eddy were also the first to call it quits.
The mushroom farmer professed his love for the 30-year-old lawyer, but claimed that she then swiftly “recoiled” within weeks of leaving the show together.
Upset by the sudden change of heart, Alex questioned Eddy on her decision to end things so abruptly during the reunion, and the interaction left many feeling uncomfortable, including Eddy herself, who claims she felt “attacked”.
Despite the disappointment with how everything unfolded, Alex told WHO it was an off-camera moment that night of the reunion that left him feeling the most alone — and it had nothing to do with Eddy.

Alex felt blown off by the rest of the farmers
After the cast filmed the reunion episode, Alex reached out to his fellow farmers to ask if they wanted to catch up and have a drink that evening.
However, he was blown off.
All of the men decided to spend time with their partners instead.
“I was very f–king sad after the reunion. We all wrapped filming that night, and then I go to the boys, ‘All right, you guys want to go get some beers?’ And they’re all just like, ‘No, we’re going back with our partners to our respective rooms’,” Alex told WHO.
“I just sadly got a taxi back to my room by myself. So that was funny. I could see the humour in that when it all happened… I wasn’t a sad sack of s–t about it.”
Alex is making the most of a bad situation
Despite not finding love, Alex explained he’s had lots of positives come from the show, and is doing his best to just enjoy what’s coming his way now after appearing on national TV.
“Life went on for a period of time, and then opportunities presented themselves related to my appearance, and yeah, I’m enjoying the show for different reasons,” he said.
“I went on looking for love, and that didn’t happen. But there’s so much more to come from it, so I couldn’t possibly feel negatively about it. It has just been such a great experience for me.”
