MAFS couple Filip Gregov and Stella Mickunaite are the one pair that actually restores our hope in the experiment (and love itself).
Both contestants have remained true to themselves and each other as drama and conflict have been thrown around A LOT this season. Instead of getting caught up in the “bullying” and “abuse” that other couples have started and endured, Stella and Filip focused on their relationship and have been loved up consistently through it all.
Final Vows on April 7 proved this romance with the most romantic gesture possible that left both Stella and fans at home in tears.
Now engaged (for real) and committed to being more than a showmance, the couple has shown fans what it looks like to survive the highs and lows of reality tv.
Stella and Filip’s epic Final Vows
While we already knew that Stella and Filip would commit to each other at their Final Vows, as the pair had already been spotted loved-up together outside of the experiment, Filip still managed to shock fans and Stella with his bold move that no one saw coming.
After reciting his vows, Filip got down on one knee and proposed to Stella (for real)! Teary-eyed and jumping with joy, Stella obviously said “yes”, making everyone watching at home smile wide and sigh with relief.
While their relationship was already enough of an inspiration throughout the season, this emotional Final Vows moment was the cherry on top.

A strong and sweet start
As soon as Stella walked down the aisle, Filip was lovestruck.
“She’s a bombshell, she’s hot as!” Filip said of his bride. “She’s really graceful looking, she’s got mad, piercing eyes, awesome smile. I’m pretty stoked to be honest with you.”
Stella was nervous, but Filip helped her relax by holding her hands.
“He’s cute! Tall, dark and handsome – a beautiful, gorgeous man,” she said of her groom. “Approve!”
The pair bonded over their love of early mornings, exercise, and their readiness to commit.
However, things became a little awkward when Stella’s friends, Joe and Leila, pointed out to her that they thought the carpenter and life coach was only on the show to promote his YouTube channel, which he had mentioned in his vows.
Stella said she didn’t want to go into the marriage with “rose-coloured glasses” and admitted she had a habit of missing or ignoring red flags in relationships before.
Filip tried to defend himself to Leila, saying the only reason he brought it up in his vows was that it was important to him and gave him purpose in life.
That said, from what we can see, things are looking good for Filip and Stella, who appeared to end the night without any argument.
Stella didn’t engage with other brides’ drama
No couple on MAFS can survive the experiment without a few bumps along the way. The couple started out strong, imagining a life together after the show as they discussed future baby names and appearing loved up.
However, there was drama when some of the other brides voiced that it was all a bit much. “It was some of the comments of we’re looking at baby names and already falling in love with each other that seemed full on,” Gia said.
“I guess that it’s kind of sad that at the age of 32, I have to re-learn that not everyone is wishing you happiness,” Stella replied.
Luckily, Stella remained true to herself and her values and didn’t let these comments get to her.
Stella and Filip maintained strong communication
The duo had a bit of a rocky time when it came to saying ‘I love you’, with Stella admitting she was keeping her walls up after Filip confessed the three big words to her. She cited her fear of abandonment as to why she couldn’t get herself to say it to him yet.
The issue of living in different cities was also considered a deal-breaker for Stella. “I see it as a catch-22,” she explained. “At the end of the experiment, you’ll go back to Melbourne, and I feel like I cannot love a man that’s going to leave me.”
However, they both were able to communicate and talk through the cracks in their relationship.
Are Filip and Stella still together?
Yes, Filip and Stella are still together.
Even after their surprise engagement during Final Vows on April 7, the pair have been sighted together in the ‘outside world’ since the experiment, and both them and their friends still follow each other on social media. We love to see it!
Even Stella’s friend Leila, who was initially unsure about Filip, is following him, and he is following her!
If that wasn’t enough, Daily Mail has reported on Stella and Filip attending co-MAFS star Chris Nield’s birthday party together on Saturday, April 4. In the photos of the couple, the pair appear very much still in love and Stella still has that ring on her finger.
Seems like a pretty good sign, right?
