George Clooney and Amal Clooney celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary on September 27th and the Oscar winner joked about reaching the milestone.
Clooney, 55, attended the Motion Picture Television Fund’s ‘Night Under the Stars’ benefit in L.A. and spoke to Entertainment Tonight about having several sceptics.
“And they said it wouldn’t last,” George said. “Ah, we proved them wrong!” he added.
When the actor was pressed about he and his 38-year-old wife celebrated the event, Clooney admitted, “We mostly drank, I [made] dinner and we had a nice, a very romantic second anniversary.”
Back in May, Clooney gushed about their marriage. “I’ve never been happier in a relationship by any stretch of the imagination,” the Money Monster actor told Esquire. “At 52 I found the love of my life and I’m really happy.”
Clooney and his wife tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Venice’s Aman Canal Grande hotel in Italy in 2014.
