After a successful first season, this reality hit, hosted again by Samantha Armytage, is back for more, hoping that serving two helpings of mature gentlemen will change the future of the franchise.

The two different Golden Bachelors, Ed Savage and Mat Collett, have been spotted during filming in Sydney, dressed smart in button-downs for a full day of shooting alongside host Samantha, some producers, and female contestants.

This season is already shaping up to be more unpredictable, proving that Channel Nine is determined to right the wrongs and missteps of the show’s first run.

Who are the two Golden Bachelors?

This reality TV romance quest will see Golden Bachelors Ed Savage and Mat Collett handing out roses together.

Ed Savage was revealed by Daily Mail to be a contract logistics manager at transport company K&S Corporation, and Mat Collett is reportedly the co-founder and director of the skincare company, Solar D Skincare, as well as a father-of three.

Will this new format work?

After only one season, it seems pretty early in the game to be switching up the format, leading some to question whether it’s a “panic move.” However, the overhaul is designed to sprinkle some fresh energy into the series and also give the show a bit of a safety net, as there are now two personalities for audiences to connect with.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, a new participant joked that “maybe Golden Bachelors are like crop circles. They’ll just start appearing everywhere whenever producers need to spice things up!”

However, by asking contestants to choose between two men, each at a different stage in both their personal and professional life, it’s fair to say that there will be all new layers of competition, tension, and strategy.

Will this multi-bachelor dynamic pay off as the producers hope? For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.

When does The Golden Bachelor 2026 start?

Based on last year’s run, it’s likely that The Golden Bachelor 2026 will kick off in October this year, with episodes airing on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm.

You can watch the show on Channel Nine and 9now.
