Just months after Grant Denyer’s horrific crash, the star has revealed that he will make major changes to his life.
The Family Feud host admitted that the crash had a major impact on him and his family, including wife Cheryl and kids Sailor, 5, and Scout, 18 months.
“I think we’re going to be reassessing what I do now,” the racer told New Idea, admitting that he may quit racing altogether.
“Whenever you get a close call like that, it really does shake up your perspective a lot. It brings you closer to your partner and your children, you know… It’s hard. It was a really close call, in all seriousness,” he added.
“I’ve had 300 races and I’ve only been in hospital twice – that’s not too bad, although the last one did nearly kill me.”
Denyer recently told the panelists of The Project that his wife, Cheryl wants him to quit race car driving.
“Motorsport is something I have been doing since I was 14 years of age. I won the GT Australian Motor Sport games last year,” he said.
“I have to remember I am a father, first and foremost. And I have got a duty to turn up on television for Family Feud every single night. I will reassess things.”
