It was, and probably still is, one of the best series Disney Channel ever commissioned.
And while it’s been some time since the Lizzie McGuire TV series and the subsequent 2003 film The Lizzie McGuire Movie has aired, a revival might be in the works!
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the star of the series, Hilary Duff confirmed yesterday “there’s been lots of conversations” about the possibility of a modern-day adaption, however, nothing is set in stone.
“It’s definitely not a go. I don’t want to get everyone wild talking about it,” she said before admitting that she would be “excited” to return to the iconic role. “I think she was so important to girls at an important time in their life. If she could be important to them again at this age, I think that would be amazing.”
“It could be a possibility or it could be nothing, so we’ll see,” she added.
She also discussed the possible storylines.
“There’s been conversations about that. I don’t think she’s a mum yet, but she might be getting there soon. I feel excited,” she said.
