As they battled it out against Katie and Alex to be named the winner in the early room reveal last week, Pete and Courtney showed their competitive streak.
However, the feisty dance couple were left feeling devastated when their room failed to win after all the hard work they had put in.
“Obviously we were hoping that our room would be the favourite,” Pete told New Idea. “But Katie and Alex’s room was stunning. We loved that room as well.”
While the couple may have fought tooth and nail for a winning score, Pete and Courtney say that their competitiveness is just a desire to do their best for the home owners.
“A huge part of the show for us is thinking about the people who are actually going to live in the home, because that is something we really want for our home,” says Courtney
“We see competition as bettering yourself every single week and learning from what feedback you’ve been given from judges and home owners,” adds Pete.
“All you can do is be your best and try your best.”
