Fans have been left outraged following the second eviction from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia 2026.
Matt Zukowski became the latest contestant to be evicted from the jungle after losing out during a final mini-trial- a result that before it even happened had sparked backlash online!
With many questioning why Zukowski was set up to be sent home so early under the show’s new pre-recorded elimination format.
Matt’s final trial
After one final mini-trial, it was Zukowski who lost his spot in the star-studded camp.
Following his exit, the reality TV star sat down with hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris to reflect on his time in the jungle and the challenges he faced during the experience.
When Irwin asked Zukowski about his favourite moment on the show, he revealed it was confronting his fear of heights. “I just kept telling myself ‘Get it done, get those stars,'” he said.
“You came home with stars, so you faced your fear, and we were all very impressed,” Irwin insisted. “You faced your fears, mate. You should be proud.”
Matt’s mental health woes
Zukowski also spoke openly about the charity he chose to support during his time on the show- R U OK?, an Australian suicide prevention organisation that encourages people to check in on those who may be struggling.
“I was having difficulty, it was just someone asking me, ‘Are you OK?'” he told the presenting duo.
He went on to add: “I feel like that being open actually helped me heal a lot. And a lot of people in there gave me a lot of advice.”
What have fans been saying about Matt’s elimination?
Ahead of last night’s eviction, the IAC Instagram account shared a post asking “Who will be eliminated tonight?” and although many fans guessed correctly- they were not clearly not happy.
“I dont think Matt should be up for elimination again, not fair on him,” one fan wrote.
“I’m praying for Matt and Luke to stay,” another added.
Others criticised the decision to balance contestant numbers rather than rely on public votes. “Not sure why you need to even up the numbers between male and female. if it was up to votes I suspect Mia would be voted out as she hasn’t had a lot of air time on TV,” one viewer commented.
“I really dont like the new elimination set up, please bring back voting and it being live,” another said.
